Introduction
I’ve been saving this one up as my fourth PRIME energy drink reviewed, since I have an inkling that I’m going to really enjoy it. Cherry and blue raspberry are the typical flavors that I almost always like, no matter how sweet or poorly integrated they are into the beverage in question.
Appearance
Can is simple and cool.
Taste
It doesn’t slap quite as hard as I was hoping, but don’t get it twisted, it’s still good. Typical blue raspberry taste, but there’s a strong aftertaste that I’m just not a fan of. Maybe it’s the coconut water not being a great mix with the blue raspberry. Hard to fully put my finger on it.
Kick
Kick is nice as it has been with all of the PRIMEs. 200mg of caffeine and sucralose as the sweetener.
Conclusion
PRIME Blue Rasperry fits nicely into the good, not great category. It is becoming clear to me that PRIME has a unique flavor profile outside of the fruit itself, with its combination of sucralose and coconut water, and that blend works better with some fruits than others.
