How Caffeine Shark Makes Money
Last updated October 4, 2026
Caffeine Shark is free to read. Here’s exactly how we pay for it, and what that does (and doesn’t) change.
Affiliate links
Some “Check price” buttons and links on this site go to retailers such as Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Caffeine Shark earns from qualifying purchases. If you buy something after clicking one of these links, the retailer may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price either way.
Affiliate links are marked as paid links in the page code, and drink pages say so next to the button. A few buttons go to stores we have no deal with (like 7-Eleven for Quake); those say so too.
Ads
We show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labeled, and advertisers don’t see or influence our reviews. See our privacy policy for how ad cookies work and how to opt out.
What never changes
- No brand pays for coverage. No brand pays for a review, a score, or a spot on a best-of list.
- Commissions don’t move scores. Shark Scores come from the Sharks’ reviews and approved reader reviews, using the formula on The Sharks page. Whether a drink has an affiliate link has nothing to do with where it ranks.
- Best-of lists are sorted by score. Every list on the site is built from the same numbers you see on each drink’s page.
