Reign Razzle Berry

Introduction

As an on-the-record, biased lover of raspberry flavored energy drinks, I already assume that I'm going to love this. Reign has come out with some bangers recently, like Lilikoi Lychee and Strawberry Sublime, so I expect nothing but the best.

Appearance

Reign can design is kind of cool, but the purple and blue color scheme doesn't do it for me.

Taste

Don't get me wrong, it's a good drink. But it's a little bit too sweet for my taste. The blue raspberry here is very candy-like, if that makes sense. A good flavor profile comparison would be a blue lollipop, or blue nerd candies. Which are delicious! But re-drinkability is big for me, and this is just too sweet for me to imagine going back to it anytime soon.

Kick

Reign always comes with the heat - 300mg of caffeine.

Conclusion

It pains me to put a Reign in the above average to good category, but alas. If you've got a sweet tooth and love blue raspberry, you'll thoroughly enjoy this beverage. See you again in like 6 months, Reign Razzle Berry.

Introduction

Reign Razzle Berry is one of my favorite energy drinks. It really wakes up your taste buds. Between its delicious mixed berry flavor and high carbonation, Reign Razzle Berry really satisfies while also delivering an unbelievable kick. With 300mg of caffeine per can (18.75mg/floz), it delivers the punch you need to get through just about anything.

Upside

Reign Razzle Berry has a wonderful mixed berry taste. I highly recommend drinking this cold because it loses intensity after sitting out a while. That is the case with almost all energy drinks, but it specifically applies to this one more than most. I said in the intro that it really wakes up your taste buds, and I will explain what I mean by that with a personal anecdote. I am currently doing a 4 week cut after a 3 month bulk, so my diet is not the most delicious at the moment. Earlier today I was really craving sweets since egg whites, chicken breasts, and spinach are really starting to get old. I felt reinvigorated after sipping this, and felt like I had desert for the first time in weeks. It leaves an incredible aftertaste that lasts for much longer than most, and I feel much better now than I did waking up this morning. My taste buds are satisfied, and I can go back to my wonderful diet (kill me now) without that same urge to cheat. This is delicious, and one of my favorite drinks.

Reign Razzle Berry also can be used for virtually any active purpose. If you need a good preworkout, it will get the job done. With only 10 Calories per can, and all the other additives Reign energy drinks have, this drink is literally designed to give you that motivational kick you are looking for. It hits your mouth hard with flavor, and leaves a wonderful aftertaste. 300mg is enough to wake anyone up. The delicious flavor is present, but not too bold to where it will distract you from your studies like most other drinks with this much caffeine. Because caffeine itself is so bitter, most beverages are filled with excessive sweetener or obscure flavors to cover it up. Reign Razzle Berry is the perfect flavor with the right amount of sweetener. It has a prominent kick once hitting your mouth, yet somehow manages to go down rather smoothly. Between the kick and the flavor, it really is one of the best energy drinks out there. Reign is known for making questionably flavored drinks, but they hit the nail on the head with this one.

Downside

To be frank, there are not many downsides to this. The can uses my two favorite colors in blue and purple making it look cool, but the Reign logo is above average at best in general. I also would not consume this if your main focus is to study or relax due to the caffeine content and bold taste. If you are not accustomed to high amounts of caffeine, I would recommend drinking half of the can to start.

Upshot

Reign Razzle Berry is one of the best energy drinks out there. It tastes delicious, has a ton of caffeine, and the mouth feel is incredible. It can be used in virtually any situation whether it be exercise, gaming, partying or just to wake yourself up. Be careful if you are not used to 300mg of caffeine, but this is a top five beverage in my book.
