Introduction

I was standing in the line to check out at the grocery store and the word “caffeinated” caught my eye on this can. I totally got baited by those fridges they have right before you check out, but I’m not even mad.

I’ve had AHA’s normal, uncaffeinated sparkling waters before and I remember liking them. Let’s open this can and get into it.

Appearance

The red on the top of the can and the apple POP. I dig it.

Taste

True to AHA’s sparkling water roots, the carbonation is extremely high. Despite having a subtle flavor profile – nothing as sweet as Celsius Fuji Apple Pear, which I thought of as a comparison if only for the fuji apple – the apple and white tea are still distinct. It’s just right amount of flavor if you’re going for that sparkling water, water-alternative vibe. Not enough if you’re expecting to drink a Bang or Red Bull.

Kick

I had to actually look up the caffeine content since a number isn’t listed on the can. The only thing the can says is that it contains the same amount of caffeine as a “1 cup of green tea”.

Fortunately, their website is more helpful and it lists 40mg of caffeine. Pretty low. It also has 0g of sugar, which is impressive to me considering there’s also 0% juice. The natural flavors make it all happen I guess.

Conclusion

This is a really great sparkling water. If my website was called WaterShark (TM) this would be a top pick. Unfortunately for AHA, this is a caffeine website and 40mg isn’t gonna cut it. I recommend this to anyone who’s already into sparkling water – and wants that extra little oomph to get them through their day.
