Introduction
I’ve never reviewed Kombucha for Caffeine Shark before so I was a bit hesitant at first. But the more I think about the more perfect it seems. This one at least (I’m not a booch pro by any means) is carbonated & caffeinated, which last time I checked is good enough for an energy drink. Keep in mind that I’ve had 3 bottles of kombucha in my life, so my palette might not be refined quite yet.
Appearance
Again, I haven’t seen many bottles but this one seems nice. Simple green and white design. “Caffeinated” and “Uplift” in big letters to attract the caffeine fiends like me.
Taste
Kombucha is not as strong tasting as I expected it to be based on how it’s made. It tastes like watered down green tea, and I can’t pinpoint either of the other teas (but how can I since I don’t really know what they taste like). The light carbonation is nice. Definitely not overpowering in any way. Giving a 6.75 here because I actually like how simple it tastes. I’d like to find one that’s a little bit sweeter next time, though.
Kick
130mg of natural caffeine, which for me is nice during the day as a change of pace from coffee. It did give me a nice boost without jitters or any negative side effects. Giving it a 7 for that reason.
Conclusion
First kombucha review, in the books! I’ve been sticking with neutral flavors but maybe next time I’ll get weird with it. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
