It's hard to know what to expect from a drink named "Rainbow Unicorn." I saw a popular Tik Tok in which a girl was trying her first BANG energy drink, and after finishing it she was wandering around with her hair matted and no shoes. She mentioned "cotton candy" in the video, although she didn't realize that she was actually drinking Rainbow Unicorn. How fitting though, that Rainbow Unicorn was the energy drink that left her in that state. I can't say that my experience was the same. Regardless, it makes sense that the bright, complex taste and 300mg of caffeine in a bold package would inspire the closest thing to a drug induced misadventure.
Taste
6.4
Rainbow Unicorn surprised me with a sharp initial bite. There was a strong burst of carbonation in advance of the flavor. The flavor is a bit of a mixed bag. Pineapple came to mind initially, but it's much more complicated than that. It's almost like a bunch of Starburst flavors were combined into one. It's not as strong or sweet of a flavor as a Starburst, although it is a nice combination of flavor and bite. My final attempt at describing the flavor is a carbonated combination between bubble gum and citrus flavors. It isn't delicious, but I do not find it offensive.
Appearance

It's easy to see how this can could be misconstrued as a bubble gum or cotton candy flavor. This may be Bang's boldest looking can yet, with its bright blue and pink color scheme. The color scheme looks like it was plucked right out of the interior of a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop. It's not my favorite in appearance, but there is no denying that it grabs your attention.

BANG Rainbow Unicorn has 300mg of caffeine. The drink is roughly equivalent to three cups of coffee. It may taste like a carnival, but consume wisely.
