Introduction

I’m gonna be honest, I picked up this Sunshine Good Clementine Twist because it was on sale in the energy drink section of my local grocery store. It wasn’t until I opened it up back home that I realized it only has 70mg of caffeine and is definitely pandering to the “natural/organic crowd”. Still, I’m usually a fan of clementine flavor (and real clementines), so I’m excited to try it and hopefully get a little energized.

Taste

8

Not disappointed here and my looks comparison to Fanta or Sunkist appears to hold up for taste as well. It’s sweet, but probably not as sweet as those sodas. If you’ve had Stevia sweetened stuff before, you’ll be able to pinpoint it in this drink. It also explains why they were able to keep the sugar low and say “naturally sweetened”. Overall, if you like orange soda you’ll like the taste here. It’s light and refreshing.

Appearance

8

Cool can, 12 fl oz, with an orange and white design. Pours out with a lot of carbonation - looks like a Fanta or Sunkist.

Kick

3

Around as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, so not much of a kick to see here. I didn’t have any sugar or caffeine crash, which isn’t a surprise because there’s a limited quantity of both.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a pick-me-up before going to your yoga class, sitting down to read, or going to the beach to tan; and you’re a fan of orange soda, this is the perfect drink for you. Overall I’m happy that I tried it, and honestly I would buy it again for the situations I listed above (no, I don’t do yoga… or do I).
