Guru Organic Energy Lite
Healthy-tasting energy drink with a surprisingly high caffeine concentration. Not the most flavorful, but better than most “healthy alternatives.”

Intro
Guru tastes like a flat Pepsi with a lemon wedge… but in a good way. It is quite sweet with only 4g of sugar, and the first few sips are enjoyable. Unfortunately, it gets old rather fast.
Upside
142mg of caffeine in a 12oz can (11.83mg/floz) is a solid amount. Most “organic, plant-based” energy drinks that are marketed as a healthy alternative have a lower concentration of caffeine. The ingredients are all also not nearly as bad for you as most energy drinks, especially with sparkling water as the primary ingredient. It is not the most delicious out there, but they did a great job with what they were trying to accomplish.
Downside
Their website reviews are all over the place regarding taste. They range from “cherry” all the way to “blue berry airhead,” which further confirms that people have no idea what they are talking about. I would have preferred both of those flavors to this healthy-tasting lemony spritzer-esc carbonated pseudo-soda, but it is still very good for an “organic, plant-based, sparkling, Crap Free™ energy drink substitute.”
Upshot
Guru Organic Energy Lite is one of the better “healthy-tasting” energy drinks out there. The caffeine concentration is higher than most similar-tasting beverages, and it is overall much healthier than the vast majority of energy drinks. While I do not recommend this to everyone, it is certainly worth a try if you are looking for a healthy alternative.
